Buster Bunny and his friend Ruby encounter a group of bullies at a deserted hotel who force them to reveal the location of a gold mine, then pursue them through the snow. After a series of chases involving trees, fences, and sleds, Buster and Ruby manage to escape. The issue also includes "Pierpont and the Penguins," a story about a little polar bear named Pierpont who is teased by penguins about his unusually large feet until his mother explains they were given to him for a purpose—he eventually uses them to swim the penguins to safety when they're stranded on an ice floe, earning their admiration.
