A wounded and delirious Cerebus is captured by a force of Conniptins, led by an incompetent nobleman. The noble's underlings hatch a plan to replace him with Cerebus, who they think will be a compliant figurehead for them. Cerebus likes the idea of leading a conquering horde, but being a pawn in the plans of others doesn't appeal to him. However, the threat of being disemboweled if he refuses cows him. For now.
