When a band of fake warriors claiming to be Sioux begin terrorizing the ranchers on the mesa, the Cheyenne Kid suspects something's not quite right—these so-called braves don't ride or fight like real Indians, and someone's pulling strings to clear the land. Using the skills he learned growing up in the Cheyenne villages, he takes matters into his own hands, infiltrating the raiders' camp and turning their own schemes against them. With the help of warriors from the reservation, the Cheyenne Kid sets out to expose the fraud and stop the raids before innocent ranchers lose everything.

When the Cheyenne Kid discovers a lost Sioux boy wandering starving in the desert, he brings the child to Massacre Flats seeking help—but the town's hardened settlers see only an enemy to drive out. As tension mounts between those bent on endless war and those willing to listen, the Kid must convince the people of Massacre Flats that peace is possible, even as suspicion and old hatreds threaten to tear the town apart. What begins as an act of compassion becomes a test of whether bloodshed can truly end on the Great Plains.

Wild Bill Hickok and his partner Jingles arrive in the rough frontier town of Hardpan to enforce the law, but their effectiveness threatens the corrupt businessmen who profit from lawlessness. When a scheme to turn the two lawmen against each other with rumor and hearsay appears to succeed, the town thinks it has seen the last of honest law enforcement. What the schemers don't realize is that Hickok and Jingles' bond runs deeper than whispers and lies.
