Chilling Tales #13
In "The Screaming Skull," two explorers' decades-long quest in the jungle leads to a shocking discovery: a chest holding the Green God of Death, valued at half a million dollars. Greed overtakes one, Vezin, who murders his partner Eames, only to be haunted by Eames' skull, which screams relentlessly and follows him home. The story, illustrated with chilling precision by Harry Harrison, sees Vezin's downfall unfold as the skull escapes his grasp—its revenge beginning in the quiet of his American home. The cover, a striking piece by Matt Fox, captures the tale's eerie tension.
