This first volume of the French edition of Claymore introduces the series' dark fantasy world, where shape-shifting monsters called Yoma prey on humans. The story follows Clare, a stoic female warrior known as a Claymore, who is part-human and part-Yoma, as she takes on a contract to hunt a Yoma in a remote village. This volume collects the opening chapters of Norihiro Yagi's original manga series, establishing the grim tone and the complex, solitary life of the Claymores.
