In "De gouden wachters," Conan ventures into the ruins of the forgotten city of Lanjau, where he battles a monstrous lizard and encounters a nameless mercenary. Together, they push through deadly undead guardians—defeated only by sunlight—only to be buried when an earthquake seals the city beneath the earth. Emerging near a village, Conan reunites with Jenna, and when soldiers arrive to arrest him, the two flee on horseback into the unknown.

In "De stier Anu," Conan joins forces with Burgun for a daring heist, but betrayal leads to Burgun’s execution. Seeking vengeance, Conan hunts down Aron and a treacherous priest, unraveling a web of deceit. As the dust settles, Jenna departs for Igon, and the freed Red Bull ascends to the heavens, becoming the stars.
