One story involves Daffy and Dilly, two animals who encounter a fox threatening them with blackmail from the dog society; they use dog biscuits as bait to trap the fox in a basement. Another story features a mule named Samson who, after being tied to a collar by a mouse character, inadvertently destroys a barn with his strength, much to the mouse's horror and the mule's stubborn refusal to be outdone. The issue also includes stories featuring Supermouse, Bruno Bear, Fritz, Fathead, Butch, and other characters as indicated on the cover.
A clever hen's prized square egg sets off a wild chase through the city in "Cluck's Luck" by Warren Foster and Owen Fitzgerald. When the egg disappears into the chaos of delivery trucks and warehouses, she pursues it relentlessly—only to discover that her valuable find has sparked an unexpected turn of events involving the wealthy Mr. Gottrox. A delightful romp through 1946's anthropomorphic humor, full of slapstick mishaps and the kind of over-the-top animal antics that made these funny-animal stories irresistible.
