Coo Coo Comics #44
In "The World Of The Future," Spunky shares a curious tale with Willie about a mysterious gun passed down from his father—one so fearsome that animals once surrendered their fur coats to avoid being shot. But when a clever raccoon steals the weapon, the tables turn in a surprising twist that leaves Pop stripped of both his furs and his clothes. Written and illustrated by Jack Bradbury, with inks by Bradbury and lettering by Melvin Millar, this 1949 gem features a cover by Carl Wessler that captures the story’s whimsical, offbeat charm.
