DC Special #5
In "The Cartoonist -- At Home!", writer Bob Haney and artist Joe Kubert deliver a whimsical yet perilous tale as Jon ventures through the Ice King’s frozen domain to complete the Fourth Task of Thor. Facing traps like a two-headed bear, a waterfall descent, and snowmen made of ice, Jon climbs a towering "vine" of Rapunzel-like hair to reach a sleeping beauty holding a rose—only to discover the true test lies beyond the kiss. With cover art by Joe Kubert, this 1969 DC Special #5 offers a striking blend of fantasy and adventure, all rendered in Kubert’s signature detail and dynamism.
