“Whatever a Spider Can, Part 1: Start Spreadin' the News”

In "Whatever a Spider Can, Part 1: Start Spreadin' the News," Deadpool—still reeling from his failed X-Men audition—shows up in New York with a new mission: learn heroism from the web-slinger himself, Spider-Man. But when a string of bizarre assassinations shakes the city, Spider-Man quickly suspects Deadpool is behind them, leading to a brutal clash between the two. The real danger, though, is far more dangerous than either expected—Hit-Monkey, the planet’s deadliest monkey, is on the prowl, and Deadpool might just be next on his list. Written by Daniel Way and illustrated by Carlo Barberi, with inks by Juan Vlasco and Sandu Florea, colors by Marte Gracia, and letters by Virtual Calligraphy and Joe Sabino, this 2010 issue features a cover by Jason Pearson.

With his bid for becoming an X-Man a total bust, Deadpool arrives in New York to learn how to be a real superhero from one of the best: Spider-Man. When mysterious assassinations begin to take place around the city, Spider-Man figures Deadpool is responsible and attacks him. The real culprit, however, is revealed to be Hit-Monkey, the deadliest simian on the planet, and Spider-Man figures that Deadpool may just be his next target.
