“Whatever a Spider Can, Part 1: Start Spreadin' the News”

In "Whatever a Spider Can, Part 1: Start Spreadin' the News," Deadpool and Spider-Man recover at the Baxter Building after a brutal clash with Hit-Monkey, but Deadpool’s antics take a dark turn when he steals Spider-Man’s suit and fakes his death to lure out the assassin. Written by Daniel Way and illustrated by Carlo Barberi, with inks by Sandu Florea and colors by Marte Gracia, the issue blends chaotic humor with high-stakes action as the duo face off against Hit-Monkey once more in a explosive showdown. Jason Pearson’s cover captures the absurdity perfectly, showing Deadpool in full Spider-Man regalia, while the story delivers a wild, character-driven ride full of twists and one-liners.

Deadpool and Spider-Man are recovering at the Baxter Building from an assault by Hit-Monkey when Deadpool takes Spider-Man’s costume and sneaks out the bathroom window. Deadpool fakes Spider-Man’s death to draw Hit-Monkey out and is wildly successful as the deadly simian comes to the funeral. Unfortunately, the police seem much more worried about a machine gun toting mercenary than they are about a monkey in a suit. Spider-Man and Deadpool battle Hit-Monkey once again and things end in an explosive climax. Spider-Man gives Deadpool a lecture on being an angst-ridden hero.
