Some of the Defenders are captured by Pluto but are freed when the rest of the Defenders appear. Another Valkyrie appears with Nighthawk and Hellcat but she is not who she seems. Her appearance helps the true Valkyrie to break free of Pluto's spell but before she and the Defenders can beat Pluto he opens a gateway to Hades on Earth.
