Die Spinne #14
In "Die Maske fällt," a weakened Peter Parker faces his greatest test yet when Doc Ock captures Betty Brant, exploiting Peter’s 24-hour flu to lure Spider-Man into a trap. With the web-slinger down and unmasked, the truth is buried under suspicion—no one believes the real Spider-Man is in danger. Written by Stan Lee and Sybille van Geem, with art by Steve Ditko and colors by Stan Goldberg, this 1974 issue delivers a tense, character-driven showdown where a recovered Spider-Man must battle both Doc Ock and a menagerie of wild animals unleashed from the zoo. The cover, penciled and inked by Steve Ditko, captures the moment of revelation with haunting precision.
