About the series

From 1974 to 1979, BSV - Williams brought German readers a 137-issue run of Die Spinne, a localized edition of The Amazing Spider-Man that translated and compiled the classic stories written by Stan Lee and Gerry Conway, with artwork by the legendary trio of Steve Ditko, John Romita, and Gil Kane. This series served as a key introduction to the web-slinger for a generation of German comic fans, faithfully presenting the early adventures of Peter Parker while adding original material by writer Hartmut Huff.
