Donald Duck & Co #46/1997
When Uncle Scrooge stumbles upon an old photograph of himself playing sousaphone in a riverboat orchestra on the Flodippielven, he’s reminded of a long-forgotten debt — one he’s determined to collect with interest, thanks to a dusty old IOU from a former bandmate. With Trond Bone, Sture Streng, Banjo-Karlsen, Bengt Bekken, and Hans "Tuten" Horn in tow, the journey back to the river’s golden age promises more than just a payday — it’s a trip through memory, music, and the kind of misadventures only a crew of eccentric duck musicians can deliver.
In "Ungdomskilden," Donald Duck takes Huey, Dewey, and Louie on a wild goose chase to the Gåsebyfjellene in search of a legendary spring said to restore youth. The nephews try to prove how silly the quest is by secretly arranging three small eggs with their ducks, but Donald’s imagination runs wild—leading to a hilariously tense moment when he mistakes the setup for a prank by campers.
When Donald and the nephews land jobs as salesmen in a candy shop, their sales soar beyond belief—until Doffen starts to suspect something’s off. The shop’s cheerful owner hides a clever secret, using the sweet facade to mask a far more cunning operation.
