“Let There Be Dark”

In "Let There Be Dark," Excalibur faces a terrifying escalation as Necrom, empowered by the Anti-Phoenix force, consumes Inky and his allies, turning his sights on the lighthouse. With Widget’s new form warping reality and Captain Britain suddenly growing to Hulk-like proportions, the team is thrown into chaos—just as Merlyn reveals himself to Roma, signaling that the endgame has begun. Written and illustrated by Alan Davis, with inks by Mark Farmer, colors by Glynis Oliver, and letters by Michael Heisler, the cover by Davis and Farmer captures the rising dread of a battle that’s far from over.

Imbued with the power of the Anti-Phoenix force, Necrom feeds on Inky and his men and heads off to the lighthouse to take on Excalibur. Widget's new body seems to be causing weird reality warps in the lighthouse but things get even stranger when Captain Britain inexplicably grows to the size of the Hulk. Merlyn reveals his existence to Roma and declares that an endgame is about to begin.
