Space Smith and Diana encounter a strange gas while on a reconnaissance flight that disables their ship's motors, leaving them stranded on what appears to be one of Jupiter's moons. Stardust confronts the "Gyp" Clipp gang, who possess an anti-solar ray threatening Earth, and uses his powers to reverse their weapon and restore the planet's normal conditions.
