Fear Itself: Deadpool #1
In "The Chosenest," Deadpool spins a wild scheme during the chaos of the Fear Itself event, turning mystical mayhem into a money-making opportunity. He outfits a regular sledgehammer with flashy jewels, tricks the dim-witted villain Walrus into believing he’s been chosen by a legendary hammer of power, and plays up the role of the Specter of Mass Destruction—all while the hammer refuses to do anything at all. Written by Christopher Hastings and illustrated by Bong Dazo with inks by Joe Pimentel, colors by Matt Milla, and letters by Simon Bowland, the issue features a cover by Ryan Stegman and Michael Babinski.

When Deadpool learns about the mystic hammer madness that is currently plaguing the Marvel Universe, he tries to figure out a way to turn fear itself into cash itself. He bejewels a common sledgehammer, drops it in front of dimwitted, not-so-super villain the Walrus and then dresses up as the Specter of Mass Destruction to convince said villain that he has been chosen as one of the bearers of a hammer of power (which is especially difficult as Walrus can't get the hammer to actually do anything).
