FF #16
In "One Step Beyond," the Future Foundation rebuilds the Baxter Building after the Mad Celestials' defeat, unveiling new uniforms and a sleek satellite headquarters. Reed confronts Valeria over her secrets, while Johnny prepares to move in with Peter—just as Doctor Doom, in the ruins of the old Interdimensional Council, claims an Infinity Gauntlet and begins forging a new empire. Written by Jonathan Hickman and illustrated by Nick Dragotta and Steve Epting, with colors by Chris Sotomayor and Paul Mounts, and letters by Clayton Cowles, the issue’s cover by Mike Choi captures the shift in tone and scale.
