Firestorm #18
In "No Security," Firestorm struggles to recover after his battle with the Secret Society of Super-Villains, clinging to the wing of a passing plane before collapsing at S.T.A.R. Labs. Once stabilized, he's confronted by Brother Eye, which activates an OMAC to eliminate him—only for Firestorm to fight back with the help of the lab’s scientists. As he returns home, he finds his roommate moving out and learns S.T.A.R. Labs has shut down early, leaving him without a job and his college plans in jeopardy. Written by Stuart Moore and illustrated by Patrick Olliffe with inks by Simon Coleby and Rob Stull, colors by Paul Mounts, and letters by Pat Brosseau, the cover by Matt Haley captures the moment’s tension.
