Chorus line dancer June meets soldier Bobby at a USO club and they fall in love. She doesn’t tell him what she does for a living, and when he finds out he says “I never thought you’d turn out to be as low as this!” She says she had to quit school and take “any job” to support her dying mother and is now stuck. Bobby says they can get married now and she can live with his family in Tennessee until he returns from the service.
