Iron Man defeats Black Brigade by ripping his armor open. Volkvhy starts to drain Spider-Woman's life energies when Ember breaks in and eventually kills Volkvhy. Century recovers and discovers that the Recorder had knocked him unconscious so that he would not be able to assist the other Force works members, which allowed the Recorder to enjoy watching them being hurt, or possibly killed. Century overpowers the Recorder, decapitating him, and arrives on the surface just in time to save his teammates from a mad, enraged Ember.
