As Torpedo's team travels through the mountains insurgents follow, resulting in several firefights. As the Tomahawk arrives to pick up the Joes, a sniper fires at Alpine, but Dr. Burkhart shields him. Alpine carries her to the helicopter but the sniper shoots her again. Long Range kills the sniper and the Tomahawk departs, Alpine mourning Burkhart's death. In Springfield, the Crimson Guardsmen host a 'class reunion' and Cobra Commander promises the assembled class they will be a part of his new world order.
