G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #205
In G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #205, Larry Hama delivers a tense, grounded moment as Torpedo’s team battles insurgents through treacherous mountain terrain, culminating in a heartbreaking sacrifice when Dr. Burkhart shields Alpine from a sniper’s bullet. The issue balances the grim aftermath with a chilling parallel in Springfield, where Cobra Commander rallies the Crimson Guardsmen at a reunion, hinting at a darker future. S. L. Gallant’s dynamic art and Brian Shearer’s inks bring the action and emotion to life, while J. Brown’s colors and Neil Uyetake’s lettering add depth to the story’s intensity.
