Gambit & The X-Ternals #4

Jun 1995 · Marvel · 1.95 USD; 2.75 CAD
“The Maze”

In "The Maze," Gambit and the X-Ternals race through the claustrophobic depths of the Morlock tunnels, desperate to deliver a shard of the M'Kraan Crystal to Magneto before Apocalypse claims it—while also protecting Magneto’s son, whose fate hangs in the balance. With Rictor closing in and a traitor among them, every turn could be their last. Written by Fabian Nicieza and illustrated by Salvador Larroca, with inks by Al Milgrom, colors by Marie Javins, and letters by Chris Eliopoulos, the issue’s tension is matched only by Larroca and Milgrom’s striking cover.

The X-Ternals are running through the Morlock tunnels trying to reach Magneto with the shard of the M'Kraan Crystal he needs to defeat Apocalypse but Rictor is hot on their trail and there is a traitor in their midst. Oh, yeah, and they have Magento's son whom they are also trying to save. But, like I said, there is a traitor in their midst and Apocalypse ends up with both the crystal and the child.
