“The World of Perilous Traps!”

In "The World of Perilous Traps!", Hal Jordan faces a dangerous test of wit and will when Sinestro’s lingering telepathic command forces him to free his archenemy—only to be whisked away to the deadly planet Qward. Written by John Broome and brought to life with dynamic art by Gil Kane and inks by Joe Giella, this 1963 Green Lantern classic pits the hero against a maze of deadly traps, where deception may be his only weapon. The cover, also by Gil Kane with inks by Joe Giella, captures the tension of a battle where the mind is as crucial as the ring.

In their last encounter, Sinestro implanted a telepathic command into Hal Jordan's mind, which causes him to release Sinestro from his imprisonment. Sinestro then transports Hal to Qward for a battle, where Hal tricks him into thinking he no longer has his Green Lantern Ring and then imprisons Sinestro again.
