Jul 2016 · DC · 2.99 USD
“Broken Illusions”

In "Broken Illusions," the Green Lantern Corps faces its darkest hour as five Lanterns—Guy Gardner, Kilowog, Simon Baz, Two-Six, and Xrill-Vrek—uncover the shocking truth: the Blackest Knights, Ausras and Dismas, are draining the universe’s life energy. With only two days left before total collapse and the rest of the Corps turned against them by Ausras’s manipulation of John Stewart, the team must fight not only to survive but to expose the deception before it’s too late. Written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Scott McDaniel, Ardian Syaf, and Cliff Richards, with inks by Jonathan Glapion, Mark Irwin, and Cliff Richards, and colors by Blond, this issue’s cover by Ethan Van Sciver captures the tension of a universe on the brink.

5 Lanterns (Guy Gardner, Kilowog, Simon Baz, Two-Six, and Xrill-Vrek) now know the truth: Ausras and Dismas, known as the Blackest Knights, are trying to drain all life energy from this universe. Unfortunately, Ausras has control of John Stewart and the rest of the Corps and have convinced them that Guy's group is under Marniel's control and must be stopped. Meanwhile time is running out for this dying universe, with only two days remaining before it collapses, and the Corps still does not know how to get home.
