Hellblazer #2
In "The Smokeless Fire, Part 1," John Constantine follows a dead end in Paris after the violent death of his only lead, Jacque Henry, but a chance encounter with Misabel Lefebvre—a dealer in forbidden relics—hints at a deeper conspiracy. With shadows closing in and secrets buried in stolen artifacts, Constantine’s search for the Djinn takes a dangerous turn, even as he remains unaware of the true prisoner hidden in plain sight. Written by Simon Oliver and illustrated by Philip Tan, with colors by Elmer Santos and letters by Sal Cipriano, the issue’s cover by Yasmine Putri captures the eerie, high-stakes atmosphere of a world where nothing is as it seems.

Constantine's only lead for information about the Djinn, Jacque Henry, has died after thieves broke into his Paris home and assaulted him. Too bad for John. If only he knew that Mercury is secretly holding Adnan the Djinn prisoner. But, when he sees her, he does know one Misabel Lefebvre, a dealer in black-market curiosities who is looking for something that one of the thieves may have stolen from Jacque.
