Hellblazer #91
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeTwo figures speed through a moonlit sky on a bicycle, the larger one — unmistakably John Constantine in his long coat — pedaling hard while a smaller passenger rides along, the pair soaring above a chaotic scene of armored soldiers brandishing spears amid a fiery orange glow. The contrast between that surreal, almost whimsical flight and the menacing crowd below gives the cover a wonderfully unsettling tension that feels very much at home in Vertigo's mid-nineties prime. Paul Jenkins and Sean Phillips bring a painterly atmosphere to Hellblazer #91, "Riding the Green Lanes," that makes this July 1995 issue hard to pass by on the shelf.
