When the soda jerk takes a break, his young friend Tommy reluctantly takes over the counter, only to be overwhelmed by a series of increasingly chaotic drink orders that send ice cream flying—literally—into the air and all over the place. As the misadventures escalate, a visiting officer arrives to investigate the mess, leading to a series of escalating mishaps that test Tommy’s patience and the limits of his skill.

A young man named Square, inspired by a jazz performance, decides to try playing music his own way—using a phonograph to "play corn," much to the amusement of his hipster friends. When his attempt draws confusion and mockery, he's invited to meet Tommy Horsey, a self-proclaimed "sentimental gentleman of swing," who sets out to teach him the true meaning of jive.

A clock bird named Coo-Coo grows tired of his monotonous duty and flees to join real birds, only to find he’s ill-suited for life outside the clock—his mechanical nature and limited song make him an oddity among feathered friends. After a series of awkward encounters and near-misses with hungry woodpeckers, he realizes his purpose and returns to the clock, where he finally understands the value of his role.

Heppity, convinced he’s solving a mystery after orange juice vanishes from the refrigerator, interrogates his friends at the Kitty-Kola Natch, suspecting theft during a dance party. With wild deductions and dramatic flair, he eventually uncovers the surprising truth behind the missing juice—revealing a clever twist tied to a hidden motive and a secret compartment in a book.
