"Her Highness" follows a woman dealing with domestic troubles, including a pug eating her food and a man named Octavius, before involving a prize fighter named Kayo Kinsey. A third story depicts a couple on an island where a man named Brother David has gone missing while diving for pearls for a character named Van Messens, with the woman attempting to help locate him.
Kid Eternity stumbles onto a troubled young scientist named Fred Ames who's considering selling a dangerous explosive formula to a mysterious businessman—until Kid summons General George Washington himself to remind Fred of his duty to America. But when the sinister villain known as The Shoe learns that the formula won't be his, he sets his sights on taking it by force, and Kid Eternity must figure out how to stop a ruthless criminal without breaking the rules of his strange power.
Betty Bates delivers an impassioned courtroom defense that wins freedom for a man she believes to be innocent—only to arrive early at his celebration party and overhear the terrible truth: he's guilty, and he's entangled with racketeer Tug Rosson. Trapped in a madman's soundproof house with killers closing in, Betty must find a way out before her own fate is sealed, all while the increasingly unstable George turns on everyone around him.
