Quality Comics’ Hit Comics (1940–1950) packed 65 issues with a rotating cast of pulp-inspired heroes, from the radioactive Neon the Unknown and the bee-keeping Red Bee to the mystical Kid Eternity. Anchored by writers S. M. Iger, Bill Woolfolk, and Joe Millard, and brought to life by artists Pete Riss, Alex Blum, and Reed Crandall, the series offered a lively, offbeat slice of Golden Age superheroics that kept readers coming back through the entire decade.
