Another story involves a woman at a rogues' gallery attempting to conduct sidewalk interviews, only to have a man in a blue suit and top hat repeatedly interfere with her plans, eventually leading to a confrontation at a flower shop. A third story features a man in a green and yellow striped shirt who finds a malnourished dog and treats it with a special vitamin tonic, resulting in the dog's miraculous recovery and gratitude.
When physicist Hans Von Kelm's dangerous spatial experiment goes catastrophically wrong, a creature from another dimension slips through the mirror into our world—and promptly kills him. Kid Eternity answers Von Kelm's desperate call from beyond and teams up with Mr. Keeper to battle the telepathic monsters now threatening humanity, summoning legendary heroes like Perseus and even a Neanderthal man to help seal the interdimensional breach before more creatures can cross over. But as Kid Eternity and his allies fight to contain the threat, the surviving monster schemes to repair Von Kelm's machine and flood their world with even deadlier horrors from the mirror dimension.
District Attorney Betty Bates considers a tempting offer to run for Congress, but when a sitting congressman reports a death threat against him, she uncovers a criminal conspiracy designed to remove him from office—and manipulate her into becoming a politician they can control. As she pursues the case, Bates must navigate her ambitions against the danger closing in from all sides.
