The Treasure Trove of Death
12 pp · Western-Frontier

In the desert frontier of 1952, Hopalong Cassidy arrives to help a desperate man recover a buried treasure chest from a sunken pirate ship in the Gulf. As the crew prepares to retrieve the loot, a hidden betrayal unfolds when the ship’s partner, Fleming, attempts to steal the treasure and destroy the ship with dynamite to cover his crime. Hopalong races to save lives after the explosion, only to be knocked unconscious while trying to rescue a survivor—leaving his fate uncertain as the story reaches its dramatic cliffhanger.

Arithmetic Minded!
1 pp · Humor

Hill Billy complains to Hopalong Cassidy about mysterious "arithmetic chiggers" on his leg, explaining they’re not ordinary bugs but pests that "add to my misery, subtract from my comfort, divide my attention, and multiply like the Dickens." Hopalong stares in disbelief as Hill Billy insists the insects are named for their mathematical impact on his life.

The Witness
4 pp · Humor, Western-Frontier

In "The Witness," Baker asks Whitey Whiskers to testify in court after being robbed, only for Whitey to panic about the crook seeking revenge and barricade himself at his shack. When a late-night knock sends him into a frenzy, he fires his shotgun—only to accidentally shoot himself, leading to a comical confrontation with Baker, who arrives to tell him the trial is canceled.

Untitled Humor story
0.5 pp · Humor, Western-Frontier
The Mysterious Drowning
6 pp · Western-Frontier

In the quiet town of Twin River, Sheriff Hopalong Cassidy investigates the suspicious drowning of a ranch hand, Biff Reynolds, whose death seems too convenient to be an accident. When the deceased’s brother, Tom Reynolds, arrives demanding justice and reveals his skepticism, the two begin a secret nighttime investigation that leads them to a hidden cave where counterfeit money is being printed. As Hopalong closes in on the truth, he discovers the killer’s plot — but the danger is far from over.

The Desert Dope
4 pp · Humor, Western-Frontier

Windy recounts his exaggerated tale of loneliness and extreme weather during a desert prospection trip to Hopalong Cassidy, claiming he talked to lizards, froze his breath into ice, and narrowly avoided a mountain lion and a charging bull—only to joke that he chose to shoot the lion first because he could always shoot the bull later. Hopalong listens with amusement, clearly recognizing the tall tale, as Windy’s wild story ends with a punchline that earns a laugh from the audience.
