This anthology issue contains four eerie tales, including "Demon Lover," in which a jealous demon infiltrates a Hollywood film studio and possesses an actress named Mona Markham to sabotage her rival's career. The demon terrorizes the set and forces Mona to help him frame another actress, but Mona ultimately resists his control. Another story follows a scarred, demonic creature who emerges from a fire to terrorize a family and their child, with the monster forcing the father into complicity through threats before the family flees into the countryside seeking refuge from the murderous being.

The Thing That Grew!

When the beast emerges, it begins tearing apart living things to understand what makes them alive, starting with a farm family’s fierce guard dog and then escalating to their daughter. As the townspeople hunt the creature, a sudden storm begins to weaken it—its form dissolving in the rain—while the family’s young daughter is taken, leaving behind a trail of mud and leaves.
