I Love You #38
In "Romance Under Construction," UN worker Nan Seeley is trapped during a Korean conflict skirmish, rescued by Art Watlow, a fellow soldier lost and alone. As their bond deepens amid the chaos, Art is gravely injured and presumed dead—only to wake months later, heartbroken and searching for Nan, whose fate remains unknown. Written by Joe Gill and illustrated by Charles Nicholas, with inks by Sal Trapani, this poignant 1962 Charlton tale captures a love tested by war and silence. The cover, by Joe Sinnott and Vince Colletta, reflects the emotional weight of their separation.
