Tim was a nightclub singer who always looked to his girlfriend Meg for support. Taking Meg out on a real date for the first time in weeks Tim learned of a coming beauty contest. He encouraged Meg to enter and wasn't surprised when Meg won the first round. Tim saw Meg win the semi-finals but she was furious when he had to leave for his gig. One of the judges chosen for the finals was Tim. Dot Mundy was the unanimous winner and Meg blamed Tim for losing, telling Tim she was leaving town with another man to start a modeling career, which was what she really wanted.
