John Wayne Adventure Comics #16

John Wayne becomes involved with a character named Bonanza and his associate Johnny, who are being held captive and forced to give up money for a diamond. After a confrontation involving a snake, John Wayne intervenes to help them. The story concludes with a wedding between Bonanza and a woman, with John Wayne taking the man to be the groom's lawful wedded husband, followed by the revelation that this was part of an arrangement to settle a dispute where Bonanza and Wayne had previously fought.
