In "Winterland", Damon Conquest supervises the preparation for the assault on the "Land of Spring" to be carried out by War Chief Malakite. Conquest transports Justice to the desert where he is attacked by Black Justice, a former Justice Warrior corrupted by "Dad". Black Justice manipulates Justice into killing him in a rage which seemingly corrupts Tensen's aura. This corruption is somehow tapped by Conquest for energy that will be used to enhance the powers of their agents against the "Land of Spring". Rebecca Chambers, brainwashed by "Dad", is in love with Conquest and wants Justice killed.
