“Hide & Seek”

In "Hide & Seek," Peter David and Lee Weeks deliver a tense, character-driven chapter as Justice, still haunted by visions of his past battles with Darquill's forces, becomes a target for the N.S.C. and military under Col. Mac Browning. With Angela Tensen stepping forward in a moment of quiet courage—her presence a lifeline amid his delusions—she risks everything to anchor him to reality, only to be taken into custody by Terrance Updike's agents. The issue’s emotional core, rendered with precision by Weeks and a striking cover by Lee Weeks, underscores the cost of trauma and trust in a world that sees only threats.

The police, the N.S.C. and military forces led by Col. Mac Browning attempt to bring down Justice, who is still driven by hallucinations of being in battle with Darquill's minions. Angela Tensen eventually comes forward and tries to reach him. Though she appears to be a monstrous creature to him, Tensen trusts his instincts, and her soothing voice brings him back to reality. Agents of the N.S.C., led by Terrance Updike, take Tensen into custody.
