In "Power and Glory, Part One," Superman is drawn into a mysterious invitation from Infinity Corporation, where he receives a chilling warning about his fate. Meanwhile, Aquaman is called to Atlantis by a prophet foretelling the arrival of a "true god," while the rest of the Justice League is ambushed at the new Metropolis Clean Energy Power Plant by a newly freed Parasite—only to be saved by a timely arrival from Superman. As the team regroups, they discover the Infinity Corporation has vanished, and their investigation is cut short by the sudden appearance of a being who declares himself Rao. Written and illustrated by Bryan Hitch, with inks by Daniel Henriques, Wade von Grawbadger, and Andrew Currie, and colors by Alex Sinclair and Jeromy Cox, this issue features a cover by Bryan Hitch.

Superman is invited to the Infinity Corporation, where he is warned about his impending death. Meanwhile, Aquaman is summoned to Atlantis where a prophet informs him of the arrival of the "true god." At the same time, the rest of the JLA is lured to the new Metropolis Clean Energy Power Plant, where they are ambushed by a newly-released Parasite, who they put down with a late assist from Superman. After, Superman, Batman, and Cyborg return to the site of the Infinity Corporation, but find it missing. Their investigation is interrupted by the arrival of a being declaring himself to be Rao.
