Kathy and her band are forced to relocate their rehearsal from the auditorium and gym to the cellar after both spaces are taken over, only to accidentally disturb Mr. Pennywhistle’s weekend peace with their noisy practice. When the stern school principal storms in, chaos erupts as the band’s antics escalate—leading to a series of slapstick mishaps, mistaken identities, and a surprising twist when Mr. Pennywhistle reveals he’s secretly eager to lead the band himself.

In "Say It with Flowers," a young man named Bingo tries to buy a birthday bouquet for Lulubelle but is broke, so he strikes a deal with Mr. Feeble to mind the flower shop in exchange for a free bouquet. When he accidentally overwaters the flowers, causing them to "die," he panics and tries to revive them with a dangerous dose of plant food, leading to a chaotic and hilarious emergency.

Kathy tries to keep her friend Hank from switching his class schedule to geology—just to avoid him falling for the new teacher, Henrietta Swooney—by stalling him with a series of increasingly absurd outdoor adventures.
