Kid Cowboy pursues a fugitive named Red Feather across the range after witnessing an ambush. Following the trail with the help of his brother, Kid Cowboy tracks Red Feather into the hills where a confrontation ensues. The issue also features a story titled "The Whip" in which Sheriff Slim Latham investigates a gunfight at the Silver Dollar Saloon involving a man named Mark White and the criminal Pedro Baschi, leading to a tense standoff in a mountain gulch. A third story depicts the Kid dealing with the disappearance of a young woman named Lucy Belle, leading him to pursue her on horseback.
