This anthology issue contains several children's comic stories. "Pixie, Play" depicts pixies at the beach who wish to catch fish, successfully using a net after help from a friendly sea creature. "The Buster Boys" follows three boys who decide to build a wire-less set during their school holiday; after gathering materials and constructing it in a store-room, they successfully create a functioning radio that impresses Mrs. Din-gle, who rewards them with cakes. "Tiny Tim" shows a boy whose plum-pie and baked goods are eaten by a mischievous wolf named Bad Wolf, who then pursues Tim through his house until a man named Gordon rescues him by driving the wolf away and dropping him in a pond. "Snowball" and "Polly" are brief stories featuring a child character troubled by a noisy owl and a child playing outdoors, respectively.
