"Deed a Day Danny" follows a boy who overcomes his fear of riding a bicycle and takes a ride through town, only to encounter a motor race on a closed road and accidentally become involved in chaos that forces him to sell his bike to pay damages. "Billy Bunter Goes Into Training" depicts the titular character undergoing boxing training with comical mishaps, including sleeping through alarms and physical comedy with his trainer. The issue also contains a Robin Hood adventure in which Prince John's forces capture King Richard, and a Sexton Blake story titled "The Case of the Tropical Treasure," in which Blake and Tinker pursue crooks who have kidnapped a girl and stolen the secret of a tropical treasure, tracking them to an aircraft headed for Africa.

In a jousting match at Nottingham Castle, Sir Robin of Locksley, a Saxon knight, faces off against the Norman Sir Guy of Gisbourne, much to Prince John’s dismay. After Robin wins the bout, he narrowly avoids a deadly trap when he realizes Sir Guy’s lance was not capped—revealing a plot to kill him.
Sexton Blake and Tinker pursue a gang of crooks who have kidnapped the girl holding the secret to the Tropical Treasure, chasing them across the desert in a faster aircraft. After a storm forces a crash landing in Africa, the duo must navigate through dense terrain and stumble upon a village where chaos erupts—just as they begin to piece together what happened to the crooks.
Stonehenge Kit and his friends find themselves back in Brickdust Palace after a mysterious mishap involving the magic apple-core, which has now transformed into a magical grub. The grub, once the Scoffer-Moff’s snack, is now a peculiar creature that the Emperor happily claims as his own, offering Kit and his companions passage home via a royal barge.
