Knockout #468

Knockout Comic #468 is an anthology featuring three stories. "Daffy the Cowboy" follows Daffy as he attempts to guard a gentleman and his town's savings en route to the city bank, with comedic mishaps ensuing when he hires armed men to protect them from bandits. "Tough and Happy Tod and Annie: The Runaway Orphans" depicts two orphans, Tod and his sister Annie, who escape from a workhouse and later encounter village boys, leading to a confrontation on a bridge where Tod is injured and village children pursue them. "Nick and Nan and Stainless Stan" features the characters trapped in the Lost Temple of the Rain-god, where they must navigate the temple's deadly mechanisms, including a sinking tower and water-filled traps, to escape with treasure while being pursued by villains. "The Magic Apple" is a text story illustrated with woodcut-style images, recounting Guy Daring's adventure involving a magical apple, an enchanted castle, and a shooting match with the mysterious Screech.
