An anthology issue featuring "Daffy the Cowboy 'Tec," in which the detective takes a strength course to become strong enough to handle badmen, then tests his new muscles on an ironclad man and a seven-pound sledge-hammer; "Tough and Happy Tod and Annie the Runaway Orphans," where Tod and Annie seek shelter and a meal at a farmhouse, only to discover that a gamekeeper and poacher are using the property for nefarious purposes, and they uncover hidden treasure in a candle that leads to adventure; "Nick and Nan and Stainless Stan," in which Nick, Nan, and their father attempt to rescue Stainless Stan, the Radio Man, who is trapped in a flooded courtyard of a sunken treasure city; and "The Magic Apple," a prose story with illustrations featuring characters including Sir Gascon, Guy, Una, and Jasper, in which magical mishaps ensue involving an invisible hat and enchanted objects.
