This anthology issue contains "Daffy the Deputy Sheriff," a humorous comic strip about a bumbling deputy dealing with troublemakers and his duties, and "Tough Tod and Happy Annie: The Runaway Orphans," a dramatic adventure serial in which two orphans fleeing their orphanage encounter historical landmarks along the River and become entangled with medieval knights and treachery involving a damsel named Joan Sedley.
