In the prehistoric past, a mutant caveman flees his tribe through dark tunnels, seeking refuge behind a roaring waterfall—where he feeds on sound itself. Eons later, when the waterfall dries, he erupts into the modern world, a pulsating mass of hunger hidden in an abandoned house in the woods. A young couple, drawn by the silence, stumble upon him, unaware they are the only thing standing between him and oblivion. As he closes in, desperate and fading, the girl opens her mouth—just in time.
