Horthak and Sonja attempt to rob the palace of Zaul, who is ensnared in a magic spell. Horthak awakens Zaul's horde before Sonja can slay Zaul. Zaul attacks Horthak and Sonja slays Zaul leaving Horthak for dead. Horthak however is kept alive by the sorcerer's magic and thirsts for vengeance.
